New Delhi: KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) is recognized as the National Program of Fellowships in Basic Sciences running under the guidance of Department of Science and Technology with an aim to attract students and develop their interest for basic science courses and research.
As per the latest updates, authorities have disclosed the last date of applying Online for scholarship is 7th September, 2012 and last date for receipt of the completed application (Online/Hard Copy) is 12th September 2012.

How students are selected for KVPY?
Students studying in class XI to 1st year of any undergraduate (UG) Program in Natural and Basic Sciences having aptitude for scientific research, as per the reports.
Apart from this students are selected on the basis of his/her performance in the aptitude test. After the test the short-listed students are called for an interview session.
