Job Role: Technical Specialist – Unix / SQL/WebSphere
Job Summary :
Key Skills:
1. Excellent knowledge of the Unix /Linux (AIX preferred) environment and shell scripts.
2. Good knowledge of SQL DB2 preferred)
3. Familiarity with Websphere Application Server and Websphere MQ.
4. Significant experience of performing a technical SME role with responsibility for system configuration of Unix based systems.
5. Good understanding of environment management processes including configuration management, systems documentation etc
.
Responsibilities:-
1. Take complete ownership of day to day running of the tech activities in the project
2. Work hands-on to perform various technical tasks in the Unix, WAS and DB2 systems
3. Investigate at both design and implementation level all system/software/infrastructure areas as applicable and necessary from time to time
4. Assist and guide technical personnel across teams in understanding new tech requirements, translating requirements into technical language and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of automated deployment tools such as BladeLogic (preferred).
2. Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
3. Ability to manage own work and to work independently.
4. Excellent knowledge of the Unix /Linux (AIX preferred) environment and shell scripts.
5. Good knowledge of SQL DB2 preferred
